Database Specific Help
Here, you can see the configuration of databases with Kushal designed application.

1. MySQL & Kushal

2. MS SQL & Kushal

3. MS Access & Kushal

4. SQLite & Kushal

Note : Kushal supports 2 types of databases

  • Server-based Databases (MySQL & MSSQL)
  • File-based Databases (MS Access & SQLite)

There is a very small difference between these 2 type of databases.

· In Server-based databases, Kushal will create an application with Databases Menu where users can configure the database.

· In File-based databases, Kushal will create an application with File Menu where users can create files.

1) Configure Server Based Database( MS SQL and My SQL)

Configuring Server Base Database in applications generated by Kushal is very easy. Kushal enables you to create multiple databases (accounts) on a single application.

To configure database follow the steps shown below

Click Databases.

Click Configure Database.

Configure Database window opens

Click New.

Enter Database and Server Details

(Name: Name of the Company / Connection string name which will display on Login window)

Click Save.

If the given credentials are valid then Database will get created on the Server. The Same Database is used throughout the application.

If given database is already existing in the Server, the application will get connected to the same Database.

To work with the created database click on Switch Database

If you have selected User Management option in your application then you will get the Login window.

Select Company name, enter Username and password and click on Login button.

If you have not selected User Management, you will get List of Databases window.

Select the Database over the grid and click on Switch.

To close a running database click on Close Database

To close the application, click on Exit.

2) Configure File-Based Database(MS Access and SQLite)

Configuring File-Based Database in the application which is generated by Kushal is very easy. Kushal enables you to create multiple files (accounts) on a single application.

To configure a database file, follow the steps shown below.

Click File.

Click New file

Enter the Database File Name.

Select path to store database file.

Please ensure that you have read and write privileges for the given path.

Click on Set as Default.

This option will set given path as default path for files created by you in the future.

Click Save.

Now Database file will get created in the specified path and you can use it throughout the application.

To open already created database files Click on Open file.

Select the path and file.

Recent files option will show recently used the file in the application.

To close currently opened Database file click on Close File.

To close the application, click on Exit.

Connection String: For-each of the databases connection string will change.

Server=SQLEXPRESS;Database=Lead_Management;Trusted_Connection=True;

MS Access
